I was talking to a friend of mine the other day about any good AMV (anime music videos). I haven't seen any really good ones in a long time. Mostly, I have been hunting down some good GSR videos. But it got me thinking about some of the AMV I would put down as my favorites.
This is an older video done by Sempai Music Videos. It has been a long time since I have seen the video but it makes me giggle everytime I see it.
The anime is Shoujo Kakumei Utena (Revolutionary Girl Utena) about the 'relationship' between Touga and Saionji. If you have seen the show, those two are just friends but considering how messed up the show is I wouldn't be surprised if something was happening. I remember the first time I saw this and fell off my chair laughing.

Here is another one by Sempai Music Videos.
Title is called "After the Fall". Anime: Shoujo Kakumei Utena (Revolutionary Girl Utena)
The video is about Nanami and her feelings during the show. If you have seen the show it is very sad even if it is a little strange. I love the song by October Project.
The next video is "Bury My Lovely" made by Sempai Music Videos. Anime: Shoujo Kakumei Utena (Revolutionary Girl Utena)
This song is again by October Project.
The reason why I love this video is how it is actually three videos in one.
The first part is about Juri and her struggle to keep her love for Shiori from coming out. It has parts of Shiori thinking she was mean to Juri for thinking she took her boyfriend away but in Juri's mind, she didn't care for Shiori stealing her "boyfriend" away. It was not being able to have Shiori. The end has a candle being blown out at the end of each little story.
The next part is about Utena being left behind by the death of her parents and a stranger in white coming to save her.
The last part of the video is about Souji his love for a woman named Tokiko. He felt "betrayal" byTokiko with all the hard work he was doing for her brother and she didn't return his love but went after Akio.
It does help to have seen the show but it still is a pretty and well made video.
The next video is by Aluminum Studios. Title: Dreams of Red ; Music: Sting - Desert Rose
This is a stand alone video of Sailor Mars. This video tells a little story. The video is mostly just done very beautiful.
This next video is just pure comedy. The video is done by: Doki Doki Productions. Title: Sailor Senshi on Jerry Springer
I know what you are thinking. It is Sailor Moon a kids show. Actually, the show was not written for kids. Those dumb morons in America thought that Sailor Moon could be cute and pasted as a kid show. Of course, those Americans who changed the show for kids didn't know of the characters that would show up in the later seasons. If you haven't seen the Japanese of Sailor Moon or read the manga it is very hard to explain. The video is done by the song from Weird Al.
Side notes:
( Best Comedy Otakon 2000, Best Ineligible/"That Special Something" Anime North 2K, & First Place Shoujocon 2K )
Another video by doki doki productions. This video is one of their Parodies videos but still a fun one to watch.
There you have it. A few of my favorite AMVs.
